Slim and discreet: the virtually invisible AiroClearCabinet V4000 extractor is another example of V-ZUG’s innovative spirit. Patrizio Caserta, Product Manager for Hoods/Drawers, on a great new product from the Zug team.

Patrizio Caserta, conspicuous hoods used to be popular, but now the trend is for more subtle options.
More and more of our customers ask for streamlined kitchens with no conspicuous extractor. But you can’t have the smell of fat and cooking in your home, that’s a no-no. The solution is an almost invisible, powerful integrated extractor.

Like the AiroClearCabinet V4000.
It’s the “new” V-ZUG hood. It’s integrated, so almost completely concealed, available as an air extractor or a recirculator, doesn’t pull out, and is easy to clean. It also has FlexLEDs with adjustable colour temperature to blend in with the surrounding kitchen lighting.

Hang on – no pull-out? In a standard kitchen it will only cover about half the cooking surface.
Not a problem with the AiroClearCabinet V4000. It’s the first extractor to combine the performance of a vent hood with the convenience of an integrated range hood. In general, V-ZUG recommends that if the hob is against the wall, whatever make it is, you always use the rear cooking surfaces when frying.

What are the practical advantages?
First of all, it simplifies kitchen planning as you can design your kitchen without worrying about the extractor. The AiroClearCabinet V4000 will be completely concealed by any cabinet with a depth of 35 cm or more. It is also available in two widths, 56 cm and 86 cm.

Anything else?
It performs really well on a daily basis. The AiroClearCabinet may look very delicate, but it cleans the air effectively and is also quiet and energy efficient.

Unless I forget to switch it on, that is.
To prevent that, the V4000 incorporates the OptiLink feature, which enables your hob and your extractor to communicate via Bluetooth. The extractor then switches itself on and off as necessary. All you need to do is choose a hob that is also equipped with OptiLink.

What if I want to control the extractor manually?
You can, but I doubt you’ll end up doing that very often. When you start cooking, the extractor switches on automatically. It then adjusts itself constantly to what is being cooked – even after you’ve finished: when you switch the cooker off, it keeps running until all the residual odours and humidity have been removed.

Who would you recommend the AiroClearCabinet V4000 to?
Those who love a designer kitchen made with the best materials, and of course those who want a high degree of convenience. Also, if you have a small kitchen, the ultra-slim AiroClearCabinet frees up shelf space.

Are there alternatives?
For those who like lots of headroom, V-ZUG also produces wall hoods, hob extractors, downdraft extractors and the Fusion hob, which has an integrated extractor. The last three extract air downwards, which works well, and they look good, too.

So to sum up:
V-ZUG offers kitchen designers a wide range of extractors to suit all customer requirements. Our newcomer, the AiroClearCabinet V4000, once again shows what makes our appliances so popular across the globe: flawless performance combined with exquisite design.
