CLEAN FILTERS AND MATS IN YOUR DRYER

Clean tumble dryer fluff filters and filter mats on a regular basis in accordance with the operating instructions.

FAMILIARISE YOURSELF WITH V-ZUG EcoMANAGEMENT

The exclusive V-ZUG EcoManagement provides three help functions to assist you in deliberately selecting resource-saving programmes:

EcoManagement increases awareness by displaying consumption statistics and consumption forecasts. It shows the consumption values for the programmes used in kWh and litres of water, either per programme cycle or as a total or average value across the last 25 programme cycles.

The EcoHybrid additional programme helps you to reduce your energy consumption. Good, very good and optimum energy efficiency levels can be selected via the display. The longer a programme lasts, the better the energy efficiency. The may sound surprising, but our leading Adora washing machines have two heating options: a heat pump heating system offering very low energy consumption suitable for heating up to 50°C and a conventional auxiliary heater with normal energy consumption. You have a choice of three energy-saving levels:

  • Optimum energy efficiency: initial heating with the heat pump only. From approx. 40–50°C, the conventional heating is activated. The target temperature is also reduced. By extending the washing duration, the washing effect remains unchanged. Energy consumption during the heating period is 50–70% lower than in conventional washing machines without a heat pump.
  • Very good energy efficiency: initial heating with the heat pump only. From approx. 40–50°C, the conventional heating is activated. It takes longer for the desired washing temperature to be reached. Energy consumption during the heating period is 40-50% lower than in conventional washing machines without a heat pump.
  • Good energy efficiency: Simultaneous heating with both heating systems. A high heat output is used. Energy consumption during the heating period is 10-20% lower than in conventional washing machines without a heat pump.

The intelligent OptiTime delayed start system, which optimises the washing programme at the lowest consumption level, is a world first from V-ZUG. You load your washing into the drum, select your usual washing programme, and then use OptiTime to pick the time you want the programme to end. A conventional delayed start function does not start the programme until absolutely necessary to make sure your washing is finished on time. OptiTime on the other hand starts the programme earlier and uses the time available to make sure your wash is more environmentally friendly. The programme finishes on time but is much more energy-efficient.

HEAT WASHING WATER USING SOLAR POWER

Do you have a solar-energy hot water production system? Then use the “Cold/warm water supply” option. This reduces energy consumption by up to 70 percent. Find out more here about our Adora machine with double water connection.

USE HIGHER SPIN SPEEDS

Select a high spin speed on your washing machine. This reduces residual moisture, shortens drying time in the tumble dryer and saves up to 25% energy.

SELECT LOW WASHING TEMPERATURES WHENEVER POSSIBLE

For washing that is only slightly dirty with no stains, you can also reduce the washing temperature to 20°C or use a short programme.

ONLY USE PRE-WASH WHERE NECESSARY

Only use the “Pre-wash” or “Soak” programmes for dirty washing or stubborn stains.

MAKE FULL USE OF THE LOAD CAPACITY

Make full use of the maximum load capacity for the relevant programme when washing and drying. Observe the relevant information.
